The 2009-2010 season is starting at the Morlacchi theater, in Perugia. The “Morlacchi Theater” in Perugia was opened to the public in 1781 with a capacity of 1200 seats and with the name of the Verzaro Civic Theater. The original project was made by architect Lorenzini held to the shape of classic Italian-style theater.
Later the town of Perugia became owner of the building and recovery. Today Morlacchi has about 800 seats and the programming is handled by the Teatro Stabile Umbria.
